Tiger Portrait

This tiger portrait I drew using Prismacolor pencils is likely my favorite (colored pencil) piece yet. It’s also my second time drawing on toned paper–a medium I’ve come to like a lot. I made this as a Christmas gift to my grandparents. If you stop by their restaurant, you might just get a chance to see it in person.

Crochet Hat Lizard

I made this crochet “hat lizard” as a birthday gift for a friend of mine.  Inside joke. This is the second pattern I’ve come up with by myself, and I will be posting it once I smooth out some of the details.

Inktober 2020 Day 8: Teeth

Inktober Day 8: Teeth
This one was really rushed, since I was behind and had to do two today. I like the concept, but I think it could have been executed much better.

Inktober 2020 Day 6: Rodent

Haha—my mom was not a fan of today’s drawing.

This one was a little rushed…I had a lot of schoolwork today and did this really quick before dinner! I also got really tired of coloring in all that black my little micron. Getting new materials soon…?

I used a white gel pen to add some highlights on the fur. Definitely doing more of that in the future.

Inktober 2020 Day 3: Bulky

Inktober Day 3: Bulky
I had fun with this one. Just piling more stuff on this poor guy. His face ended up looking a lot more miserable than I intended, though. I meant it to be comical but it seems more cruel. Whoops.

Inktober 2020 Day 1: Fish

Inktober Day 1: Fish
First day of Inktober and I’m already behind…but here we go! I’ve never done Inktober before, but I’ve been meaning to do it for a while now and now I’m finally giving it a shot.

The theme of day one was fish, so I drew a betta. I’m not sure how I feel about this piece. I like the fins and tail, but the scales and shading are honestly kind of sloppy. But I’ve hardly worked with pen before, and not in a long time either. By the end of this I’m sure I’ll be much better.

Cat Sketches

Just some kitties I drew to practice exaggeration/stylization.

Hoofs

DeviantArt was hosting an April Fool’s Day event where they asked everyone to draw this goofy character, Hoofs. Probably the strangest thing I’ve drawn in a while, but fun nonetheless!

Gift for Zam

Here’s a birthday gift for one of my good friends online! She has accounts on DeviantArt, YouTube, and Instagram, but I’ll link her Scratch profile because that’s where she’s most active. She’s super talented and one of the nicest people I’ve met on the site, so I’d highly recommend following her.

Whew! This piece took forever, but that’s not too much of a surprise–it’s been weeks since I last picked up a pencil, let alone drew anything! And it’s been even longer since I made any digital art. It feels good to draw again, though! I’m pretty happy with how this turned out, too. I tried a few new techniques, played around with some brushes, and overall just had a lot of fun making this piece.
