Not too long ago, I decided to try out amigurimi—the Japanese art of crocheted or knitted stuffed toys. I’ve really enjoyed making them, and I’m planning on giving some to my cousins as Christmas gifts. This unicorn is the third doll I’ve made so far, and the first one I’m making for Christmas. Two birthday gifts in one day!! This one’s for ProbablyBeatrice, known on YouTube as Bel Kate. She has great art and a really nice voice, so I’d recommend checking out her DeviantArt or YouTube channel. I tried out some new shading techniques, and experimented with some different style elements. Overall, I’m pretty content with this piece, but I still have plenty of room to improve.

There’s an upcoming art contest in my area, and I figured I’d enter with an animated short film. Here are some sketches of my design for one of the characters; I decided to use a simple, more cartoon-ish style than I usually so that I can add more expression and have an easier time animating it.
Here are some sketches of squibbles, which are a fictional species I made up. They’re similar to weasels, with the personality of dogs, and they have some sort of magical property, which I’m still deciding on.
