This took me FOREVER but here’s Eleven from Stranger Things! I love how my art teacher gives us so much room to express our own interests and personalities in our projects.
The goal was to create a colored pencil drawing from a reference, cropping it to create a unique composition. I realized soon after starting this drawing that I did not choose the easiest reference. The neon lights and unnatural colors on her face definitely created a challenge for me. I exaggerated those colors a bit more to create a bright and intense look.
It’s not perfect, but I’d say it’s a pretty good start considering I’ve never attempted a realistic human face in this medium before. I’ll definitely be doing more of it in the future!



In case you haven’t noticed already, I’ve kind of given up on Inktober this year. But I’ll try again in 2021!
